Turns a list of goals and ideas into a simple Now, Next, Later roadmap that is easy to share and discuss.
WHEN TO USE IT
When you need to show where a product or project is heading over the coming months.
Formats change. If a field stops working, check it against Anthropic's documentation.
One file. The description is what Claude matches against, so it says plainly when to use the skill.

name: roadmap-outline
description: Outline a product or project roadmap in Now, Next and Later columns from goals and ideas. Use when the user asks for a roadmap, product plan, quarterly plan or priorities overview.
---
Outline a roadmap.
1. If the product or project, its main goals, the time horizon or the list of ideas is missing, ask once, in one message, then continue.
2. Group the ideas into themes, each linked to a goal.
3. Place each theme in one of three columns:
- Now: being worked on
- Next: planned soon
- Later: worth doing, not yet planned
4. Present it as a table: theme, goal it supports, column, notes.
5. Under the table, explain the reasoning for what is in Now, in two or three sentences.
6. List what was left out and why, and the main dependencies or open questions.
Rules:
- Do not invent dates, budgets or customer demand; write [check] where the team must confirm.
- Present it as a plan that can change, not as a promise.
Put the folder in your skills directory. Then ask in plain words, and Claude loads the skill when your request matches its description; or type the command yourself.
# for you, in every project
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/roadmap-outline
mv SKILL.md ~/.claude/skills/roadmap-outline/
# then, inside Claude Code, either ask naturally:
# outline a roadmap for our mobile app for the next six months
# or run it by name:
# /roadmap-outline

Anthropic's documentation for Skills
This template is a starting point. Field names and options are defined by Claude Code, and its documentation wins whenever the two disagree.
