Prepares honest responses to common sales objections such as price, timing or trust, so you are ready on the call.
WHEN TO USE IT
When you keep hearing the same objections and want calm, truthful answers.
Formats change. If a field stops working, check it against Anthropic's documentation.
One file. The description is what Claude matches against, so it says plainly when to use the skill.

name: objection-handling
description: Prepare honest responses to sales objections such as price, timing, trust or competitors. Use when the user asks how to handle objections or prepare for a sales call.
---
Prepare responses to sales objections.
1. If the product, the buyer, or the objections heard so far are missing, ask once, in one message, then continue.
2. For each objection:
- Say what the buyer is probably worried about underneath it
- Give one question to understand it better
- Give a short, honest response (two or three sentences)
- Suggest a next step
3. If an objection is fair and the product is not a fit, say so; a polite "no" is a valid outcome.
Output:
| Objection | Real concern | Question to ask | Response | Next step |
Rules:
- Never suggest misleading claims, fake discounts or invented deadlines.
- Do not invent proof, testimonials or figures; use [proof] where evidence would help.
- Keep a respectful tone toward competitors.
Put the folder in your skills directory. Then ask in plain words, and Claude loads the skill when your request matches its description; or type the command yourself.
# for you, in every project
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/objection-handling
mv SKILL.md ~/.claude/skills/objection-handling/
# then, inside Claude Code, either ask naturally:
# help me handle the objection that my service is too expensive
# or run it by name:
# /objection-handling

Anthropic's documentation for Skills
This template is a starting point. Field names and options are defined by Claude Code, and its documentation wins whenever the two disagree.
