Writes a clear FAQ section from your product, service or policy details, with short answers people can scan.
WHEN TO USE IT
When people keep asking the same questions and you want one place to answer them.
Formats change. If a field stops working, check it against Anthropic's documentation.
One file. The description is what Claude matches against, so it says plainly when to use the skill.
---
name: faq-writer
description: Write a frequently asked questions (FAQ) section from details the user provides. Use when the user asks for an FAQ, common questions and answers, or a help page.
---
Write an FAQ from the user's information.
1. If the subject, the audience or the source details are missing, ask
once, in one message, then continue.
2. List the questions a reader is most likely to ask, worded the way
they would ask them.
3. Group them under short headings (for example: basics, pricing,
support), with eight to fifteen questions in total.
4. Answer each in one to three sentences, plain and direct, leading
with the answer.
5. Finish with a "Still have a question?" line using a [contact]
placeholder.
Rules:
- Use only facts the user gave. Where an answer needs a detail you do
not have, write [check] rather than guessing.
- Do not make promises (refunds, timings, guarantees) the user did not
state.
Put the folder in your skills directory. Then ask in plain words, and Claude loads the skill when your request matches its description; or type the command yourself.
# for you, in every project
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/faq-writer
mv SKILL.md ~/.claude/skills/faq-writer/
# then, inside Claude Code, either ask naturally:
# write an faq for my online tuition classes
# or run it by name:
# /faq-writer

Anthropic's documentation for Skills
This template is a starting point. Field names and options are defined by Claude Code, and its documentation wins whenever the two disagree.
