Plan and draft a short email sequence with subject lines, body copy and a clear call to action in each.
WHEN TO USE IT
When you need a few marketing emails for a launch, offer or newsletter.
Formats change. If a field stops working, check it against Anthropic's documentation.
One file. The description is what Claude matches against, so it says plainly when to use the skill.
---
name: email-campaign
description: Plan and draft a short marketing email sequence with subject lines, preview text and body copy. Use when the user asks for marketing emails, an email campaign or a launch sequence.
---
Plan and write an email campaign for the user.
1. If the essential details are missing (what is being promoted, the audience, the goal, the number of emails, and the tone), ask once, in one message, then continue.
2. Start with a plan table: Email, Send timing, Purpose, Call to action.
3. Then for each email write:
- Two subject line options
- Preview text
- Body of 80 to 150 words
- One call to action
4. Use [first name], [link] and [offer details] as placeholders.
Rules:
- Do not invent discounts, deadlines, testimonials or results.
- No false urgency and no misleading subject lines.
- Remind the user to send only to people who agreed to receive emails, and to include an unsubscribe link.
Put the folder in your skills directory. Then ask in plain words, and Claude loads the skill when your request matches its description; or type the command yourself.
# for you, in every project
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/email-campaign
mv SKILL.md ~/.claude/skills/email-campaign/
# then, inside Claude Code, either ask naturally:
# write a three email launch campaign for my new course
# or run it by name:
# /email-campaign

Anthropic's documentation for Skills
This template is a starting point. Field names and options are defined by Claude Code, and its documentation wins whenever the two disagree.
