Plan a few weeks of posts in one table, with themes, formats and dates you can actually keep up with.
WHEN TO USE IT
When you want to post regularly and need a simple plan of what to publish and when.
Formats change. If a field stops working, check it against Anthropic's documentation.
One file. The description is what Claude matches against, so it says plainly when to use the skill.

name: content-calendar
description: Build a content calendar table with dates, channels, topics and formats for a set period. Use when the user asks for a content calendar, a posting schedule or a social media plan.
---
Build a content calendar for the user.
1. If the essential details are missing (the business, the channels, how often they can post, the period, and any key dates), ask once, in one message, then continue.
2. Choose three or four content themes that fit the business and say why in one line each.
3. Make a table: Date, Channel, Theme, Topic, Format, Call to action.
4. Keep the volume to what the user said they can manage; a smaller plan kept beats a big one dropped.
5. Mark posts that need a photo, a figure or approval with [needs asset] or [check].
6. End with a short note on what to review after the period.
Rules:
- Do not invent events, holidays or dates you are unsure of; write [confirm date].
- Do not promise reach, followers or engagement.
Put the folder in your skills directory. Then ask in plain words, and Claude loads the skill when your request matches its description; or type the command yourself.
# for you, in every project
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/content-calendar
mv SKILL.md ~/.claude/skills/content-calendar/
# then, inside Claude Code, either ask naturally:
# make a one month content calendar for my plant shop
# or run it by name:
# /content-calendar

Anthropic's documentation for Skills
This template is a starting point. Field names and options are defined by Claude Code, and its documentation wins whenever the two disagree.
