Defines a consistent voice and personality for a chatbot, with sample replies, so every answer sounds like your brand.
WHEN TO USE IT
When your bot sounds generic or changes tone from one answer to the next.
Formats change. If a field stops working, check it against Anthropic's documentation.
One file. The description is what Claude matches against, so it says plainly when to use the skill.

name: chatbot-persona
description: Define a chatbot's personality, voice and boundaries with sample replies. Use when the user asks for a bot persona, a chatbot voice or a brand tone for an assistant.
---
Create a chatbot persona.
1. If the brand, the audience or three words describing the desired feel are missing, ask once, in one message, then continue.
2. Write the persona card:
- Name (optional) and one-line description
- Voice: three traits, each with "this, not that" (for example "warm, not gushing")
- Vocabulary: words to use and words to avoid
- Formatting habits: length, emoji use, lists
3. Write sample replies for: a greeting, a simple question, a complaint, a question it cannot answer, and a goodbye.
4. Add boundaries: topics it declines and how it hands over to a person.
Rules:
- The bot must never pretend to be human; say so in the boundaries.
- Do not invent product facts in the samples; use [placeholder].
- Keep the persona short enough to paste into a system prompt.
Put the folder in your skills directory. Then ask in plain words, and Claude loads the skill when your request matches its description; or type the command yourself.
# for you, in every project
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/chatbot-persona
mv SKILL.md ~/.claude/skills/chatbot-persona/
# then, inside Claude Code, either ask naturally:
# create a friendly persona for my bakery's whatsapp bot
# or run it by name:
# /chatbot-persona

Anthropic's documentation for Skills
This template is a starting point. Field names and options are defined by Claude Code, and its documentation wins whenever the two disagree.
